State of Flux's Supplier Relationship Management System

An organisation and its key suppliers need to have the same view of the relationship, the business strategy and the agreed objectives for the relationship. This drives better two-way information sharing and communication.

Annual SRM Survey

Now in its third year, State of Flux's in-depth, global Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) survey reveals how hundreds of companies and public-sector organisations are progressing with their SRM programmes, the benefits they are achieving, and the challenges they face.

Toyota Case Study

Few companies have as solid a reputation for supplier relationship management as Toyota does. In its European operations, like those of North America, SRM is also a major focus area, albeit one with a shorter history.

State of Flux and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

A consultancy that specialises in SRM

State of Flux is a procurement and supply chain consultancy. We help multinational companies and major public-sector organisations launch and improve supplier relationship management (SRM) programmes. And we’ve been doing this since 2004.

How we define SRM

State of Flux defines SRM as “a discipline of working collaboratively with those suppliers that are vital to the success of your organisation, to maximise the potential value of those relationships”.

Organisations can use SRM to get real benefits. These include lower costs, better managed risk and access to suppliers’ ideas and innovations. But SRM is a discipline, and for it to work well it has to be a part of the corporate DNA – a way of working.
