Job Type: Flexible, remote working (Philippines-based, EMEA working hours)

As a QA Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality and reliability of software products and applications. You will work closely with the development team to identify and resolve any issues or bugs in the software development lifecycle. Your role will involve the design and execution of test cases, as well as the analysis of test results to ensure that the software meets the highest quality standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining documentation related to testing processes and procedures. Applicants must be willing to work with our teams in London and EMEA during their work hours (roughly from 2:30pm - 11:30pm, Philippines standard time).

Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scripts to ensure the quality of software products and applications.
  2. Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using issue tracking systems.
  3. Collaborate with the team to understand product requirements and develop test plans accordingly.
  4. Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure that software changes and updates do not have any adverse effects on existing functionality.
  5. Perform manual testing to validate software functionality
  6. Evaluate and report test results, providing clear and concise feedback to the development team.
  7. Participate in the continuous improvement of QA processes and procedures, suggesting and implementing best practices.
  8. Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  9. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
  10. Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in the field of software testing.

Require Skills

  1. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  2. Proficiency in designing and executing test cases and test scripts.
  3. Proficiency in manual testing techniques.
  4. Knowledge of industry-standard testing tools such as Azure DevOps.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and track software defects.
  7. Good understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts.
  9. Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
  3. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
  4. Strong knowledge of software development methodologies.
  5. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  6. Experience with test management tools and test case management.
  7. Understanding of database systems and SQL.
  8. Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  9. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  10. Be able to create test design from not so well-defined requirements
